The country's flag

The Nepal's national flag is the only world's flag not formed by a rectangle shape. Its composition is because of the last two governments: each triangle represnts one of them. The two separated flags were been used for two centuries and the nowadays since the beggining of the nineth century. The blue part represents the peace and the red one, it's the national color of the country.
The draws represent the sky as it was saw by a person. The first one represtnts the twilights saw in the Earth land and the second one is the Sun up in the sky. The Nepallis usually think the symbols as the something like their country. They hope the Nepal endures like the Sun, the Earth and the Stars. Very nice, isn't it?

Descovering the Nepal's culture

Are you hungry? Would you like to eat a juicy steak with rice and fries and a sweet fruit salad with a huge wanilla's ice cream ball as a dessert? If you want so, I think you should pass on our Nepal's travel a little bit. A typical Nepalese meal is dal-bhat-tarkari, a spicy lentil soup (dal), served over a boiled rice (bhat) with curried vegetables (tarkari). They also use to serve dishes with alcoholic and non-alcoholic bavarages, with a plenty of spices, like cumim, curiander, black peppers, and so on. Does it sound good? No???? I believe the word you are looking for is "blah", right? But what were you expecting for? Mac Donald's? Come on!
The music, in other hand, sounds very nice. I've heard that they usually play percussion instruments, such as flutes. If you like rock and roll, or mettalic sounds, remember that we are in place where the Hinduism is the most important religion, so they like to meditate and guess the meaning of life. So, take a deep breath, and let's go on!
Nepallis like to dress themselves with a very colorful clothes (maybe it's an indian inheritance...), and they also like to dance a lot! As their way, of course, so also don't expect a techno ballad! Don't forget you are far away from your home town.
One interesting thing is that the houses located in the rural lowland are made of tight bamboo framework and walls of mud and cown-dung mix. It's like this because the house can stay cool in summer and retain warmth in winter! As they are buit in a higher land, the construction changes to stone mansory and slate may be used on roofs, because as higher we stay, colder it will be.

About Nepal

The Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal is the world's most recently country to become a Republic, as it belonged to China and India. The capital is Kathmandu and this is the country's largest metropolitan city. (And also the city which Carmem Sandiego used to hide herself!!!). It is situated in the middle of Himalaia's mountains, so you can imagine how cold is it!
One curious thing is that Nepal is name used by scholars to designate the name Nepa, used to describe a valley in Kathmandu city.
There we can see that's spoken a brand of different languages, but all of them belong to four major groups such as: Indo-Aryan, Tibeto-Burman, Mongolian and "indigenuous languages" isolates. I've heard that many Nepallis use to speak a good English in government and business, so I think we probably won't have problems with the Nepal's diverse linguistic, since we have a tour guide.
The overwhelming in Nepal follow Hinduism. They have the largest Shiva's temple in their country, where hindus from all the world come for pilgrimage!

Nepal, have you ever heard?

I'm sure you are wondering why am I talking about a country which the flag is formed by two triangles. Actually, neither I know. I first heard about this country when I was playing a computer game called "Where in the World is Carmem Sandiego?". The game was about a very beautiful lady wanted by the international police as she was robber. You were supposed to guess in what country she was and arrest her.
So, this place came into my game that time and I think we should take a deeper look in it. Have you ever gone to there? Neither have I. So, let's see our next travel! Have a good time!!!!
